Sea of Reads

Peripatetic, itinerant, eclectic musings about books, politics, history, language, culture, and anything else that interests me.

About Kathy

I am retired from a somewhat peripatetic career in book publishing. My passions now are books, politics, blogging, and other writing forms. Actually, these have always been my passions, but now I actually have all the time I want to devote to them. I have too many books and too few bookshelves. I enjoy reading aloud. My cat finds it oddly intriguing.

    Hi Kathy,
I have a follow-up thought on your post ‘Do You Re-Read Books’?
While a friend was recounting a discussion he had about ‘Edgar Sawtelle’ I sighed and said ‘I wish I was reading that (again) for the first time.’ We both laughed but, it made me think about the books
that elicit such emotion that one cannot feel upon re-reading them.
It’s been a fun question to pose to my book-loving friends.
    Happy Spring & Happy Reading,
    Susan
