Peripatetic, itinerant, eclectic musings about books, politics, history, language, culture, and anything else that interests me.
A good in-between book: I finished The Voyage of the Beagle, in E.O. Wilson’s one-volume collection of all four major Darwin books, From So Simple A Beginning. Next up, The Origin of Species, but Jonathan Rosen’s slim little jewel of a memoir is just the thing for a rest stop. I’ve had it on my shelf for several years; it’s time to read it.
