The Longest Novel in the English Language

That would be A Suitable Boy, by Vikram Seth, which clocks in at 1,348 pages for the hardcover edition, and either 1,471 or 1,488 pages for the paperback, depending on which of the two numbers in this Wikipedia article you prefer (not having a copy of the paperback, I cannot settle the argument).

I am on page 180, and I am hooked.
